Onto the food! Rating 3
I ordered the build your own grand-slam with: eggs, bacon, hash brown, and why not, pancakes. The eggs? Under-seasoned, but tasted like actual eggs as opposed to carton. The hash brown filled my craving, but I wished it was cooked with a thin layer of potatoes to produce that nice golden crust worthy of such a classic, but alas, it was cooked in a large batch and lacked a lot of crunch-textured element.
Walked in a couple of days ago hungry as freak with this insane craving for them good ole breakfast eggs and hash-brown. The first challenge? The wait time. Stood there waiting to be seated for a solid 3 minutes. What 3 minutes you say? This reviewer is obviously nit-picking. Listen here you reader, when you're standing there hungry with no one to greet you, 3 minutes seems like an eternity - one with emptiness in the pit of your stomach.
Waitress is really friendly named Jessica. Food was really great.

Great place! The food was delicious and the service fantastic! We loved it.
Midnight munchies run with the boo, I ordered the super bird, a grilled turkey and Swiss, there was nothing super about it. One slice of turkey and a sliver of tomato on each half. Very bland and disappointing to say the least. The pound of seasoned fries to accompany were very crispy and actually tasted pretty good. He ordered the t-bone done medium rare and shrimp with a side of cheese fries and the special kale salad. The waitress brought out a regular house salad. His t-bone arrived on a tiny 6in salad plate with a knife that could barely cut bread, let alone the tough meat in front of him. This steak looked to have more grissle around the edges then actual meat. There was no grill or pan-sear marks, and based off the quality, we wouldn’t be surprised to find out it was just microwaved to medium-well. The cheese fries had the typical nacho cheese on soggy steak fries. And that kale salad he was supposed to get... the waitress thought that was the house salad.. so she returned to the kitchen and prepared a new salad, when she brought it to the table I was dumbfound. She literally picked out dark pieces of iceberg lettuce to substitute for kale. A cake batter milkshake to top it off, took the first sip and it was warmer than room temp. I don’t know how they managed to get ice cream so warm, possibly from blending the cake batter until the shake was a gritty grey mess. Overall, the best part of the meal was the free water, but you can get that anywhere, so don’t know waste your money on “America’s Diner”
Good coffee. We enjoyed the $4 breakfast. Pancakes huge. Staff friendly. Two servers were very busy. Couldn't keep our cups refilled.
Ah, the classical Dennys - home to anytime American comfort food, especially breakfast
I eat a lot of food, and therefore require a lot of water. My water wasn't filled often, but was filled at the very end. The operation wasn't as inviting as I hoped, but I would go again for my dosage of breakfast at a moment's notice.
